Channels

Sat out in the car tonight and mapped out the last of the channels so I can take the next two days to make sure that they are linked up correcting with the animation.  Some new music is been on hold waiting for tonight’s task.

We’re almost 100% there.

Show test tonight

The show audio is hooked up and running.  Some of the items in the yard are still not yet completed and many of the channels used in the show are not quite in the correct location.  Its great though to finally know that the audio and controllers are working correctly.

I still have one outlet not working but it will be fixed tomorrow.  Over the next few nights all the elements will be put into their correct location and remaining items will be pulled in and made ready for Saturday Night.

We’ll keep you posted as we get closer.

One step forward, one step sideways

The replacement controller board came in tonight.  It’s a newer version which caused a bit of an issue when I first hooked it up but everything is fixed on the missing portion of the display.  Now we have a GFI outlet on the opposite site of the yard that has stopped working after the other nights rain.  Luckily for us we have a good friend and neighbor who is an electrician and will come over tomorrow to take a look at the outlet and fix it.

A few items in the yard to complete and need to get the FM transmitter running.  Getting closer to having the show up and running by this weekend.

We’ll let everyone know when to come by.

It Twas the Night after Thanksgiving

Hello everyone.

Like all good things, tonight we lit up the display to do some repairs and make sure that everything is in place to start the music portion of the show.

We had a bit of a set back for the animation and music portion of the show.  One of the controllers that run the arches got water in it and made the board unusable.  The replacement board will be in on Monday and weather permitting we will be switching the boards out and getting the show up and running.

So please if you want the best viewing experience wait until the first weekend in Dec.  This will give us the ability to get all the kinks worked out and make sure everything is ready for everyone.

Thank you again, and Merry Christmas!

Sale is Over, Time to get the Show on the Road (or House)

Thank you to everyone whom came by and purchased some of the items we were moving out, I hope they all make great additions to your collections.

With the sale over it’s time to get the show on the road by going into repair and prep mode for this years display.  We’re really looking forward to getting started and bringing a few items up that have never gotten into the display.

We’re also planning a hot coco night at the house this year for our friends and family to give them a sneak preview of the show.

I have to make some calls to the HOA and to Santa to get this year’s Nice and Naughty list.

See you all soon!

Blinky Says We Need to Start Sooner!

This weekend will wrap up the sale of items that we have stored and are looking to get rid of, which will allow us to start moving ahead with the display for this year.

Instead of waiting until Nov 1st to start. Blinky and the rumors of bad winter weather have worries about getting the display set-up this year so we’re going to start earlier than we’ve ever started before.  Beginning next week the entire Santa crew will be working on and off on getting the lights up, the repairs done and making the best show we can for all of our visitors.

We’ll keep you posted as we make progress.
